Demonstration Food Garden Tour - With Sustainable Solano

This is a tour of the Living and Learning demonstration food forest garden in Benicia, CA. The garden is a front lawn conversion installed in April 2016 through the Benicia Sustainable Backyard Program that was funded by the Benicia Sustainability Commission. This garden has a laundry-to-landscape greywater system and the roof water is diverted into an in-ground swale. The goal of this program is to educate people and teach them hands-on skills through public workshops that can be applied to transform their yards. County expansion of this program and ongoing annual tours are funded by the Solano County Water Agency. Find more on the Solano Sustainable Backyards program here:
